Brandy cocktails you should know
Sazerac
3 dashes Peychaud's bitters
1 sugar cube
splash soda
2 oz Brandy Sainte Louise
splash absinthe
lemon zest
Combine bitters, sugar cube, and splash of soda in a mixing glass and muddle until sugar begins to dissolve. Add brandy and ice to mixing glass and stir until just chilled and diluted. To prepare your rocks glass add a splash of absinthe, swirl the glass, and pour out excess liquid. Strain cocktail into the absinthe-rinsed glass and garnish by expressing a zest of lemon above the drink and discarding the peel.
